Andrea's Shawl

Pattern: Andrea's Shawl, by Kirsten Kapur
Yarn: Schoppel Wolle Cashmere Queen (cashmere, silk, wool in charcoal) and Colourmart Cashmerino (cashmere, merino wool in pink)

Lovely pattern and a quick knit! After reading a few comments on Ravelry I decided to adjust the decreasing for the body of the shawl.  I wanted a shallower shape, so I dec at the sides not every other row, but every row. To make sure these dec were unobtrusive on the right side, I incorperated them in the 2 garter sts on each side.

I didn't pick up all sts again for a picot bind off at the end, but worked a crochet border instead like this:
Row 1: sc (US) / dc (UK) to the end
Row 2: sc (US) / dc (UK) to the end
Row 3: * ch 3, 1 dc (US) / 1 tr (UK ) in first ch from hook, skip 1cm, ss, repeat from * across.

I'm very pleased with the result and the cashmere in both yarns make this a delight to wear. I intend to make another one in a lightweight yarn like Koigu or maybe a linen blend?
